Diam continues its acquisitions in the packaging sector. Following the acquisition of MR Cartonnage Numérique in September 2017, the French group, a world leader in merchandising, has acquired majority stakes in Cofima and Norline.
Cofima is a renowned specialist in the manufacture of luxury wooden coffrets and multi-material gift boxes. The company, which employs 200 people at its site in Bangkok, Thailand, has a historic expertise in wood and cladding. A know-how which is shared by Norline. However, the French company focuses on short-run and made to measure covered gift boxes and coffrets, and employs 20 staff in Grigny, near Paris. Working in partnership, these two companies already propose an extensive offer that allows them to optimize value for customers according to the size of production runs and time-to-market constraints.
These acquisitions will allow Diam Pack, a newly created business unit, to carve a position on the ultra-luxury market.
In order to propose a complete offer, Diam Pack has signed partnership agreements with selected factories in China as well as with one of the largest automated coffret factories in Southern Europe.
As such, Diam Pack is positioned as a manufacturer and trader. This allows the company to offer customers both large- and small-series production of coffrets made from cardboard, wood and metal as well as multi-material solutions made in France, Europe or Asia. This approach allows Diam Pack to serve and accompany the demands of its customers with a complete offer when it comes to ultra-luxury secondary packaging.
